Ark Linux

The goal of Ark Linux is to build the easiest to use Linux distribution available, while keeping it technically sane.

Built around KDE 3.4, the base insall CD of Ark Linux contains everything the average desktop user will need - other tools, for example compilers and development tools, additional games and support for additional languages, are available on the extra CD images "Ark Development Suite", "Ark Extra Software", "Ark Server Software" and "Ark Extra Languages", and of course in our large online package repository, easily accessed through the Kynaptic GUI. Experienced users can use the "apt-get" tool to install software from the repository on the command line.

Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 ships with KDE 3.5.9

"Debian is a free operating system (OS) for your computer. An operating system is the set of basic programs and utilities that make your computer run. Debian uses the Linux kernel (the core of an operating system), but most of the basic OS tools come from the GNU project; hence the name GNU/Linux.

Fedora 11 ships with KDE 4.2.2

The Fedora Project is a Red Hat-sponsored and community-supported open source project. Its goal is to work with the Linux community to build a complete, general purpose operating system exclusively from free software.

Gentoo Linux

"Gentoo Linux is a versatile and fast, completely free Linux distribution for x86, PowerPC, UltraSparc and Alpha systems that's geared towards Linux power users. Unlike other distros, Gentoo Linux has an advanced package management system called Portage. Portage is a true ports system in the tradition of BSD ports, but is Python-based and sports a number of advanced features including dependencies, fine-grained package management, "fake" (OpenBSD-style) installs, path sandboxing, safe unmerging, system profiles, virtual packages, config file management, and more."

Kubuntu 10.04 Ships with KDE SC 4.4.2

Kubuntu is the distribution for KDE fans. Its releases are timed against KDE and always include the latest version. The package archives are shared with Ubuntu meaning it has the largest collection of Free Software ready to install and is easily installable by users of any of the other Ubuntu distributions.

Mandriva Linux 2009.1 ships with KDE 4.2.2

NimbleX 2010 ships with KDE 4.3.5

Pardus 2009 ships with KDE 4.2.4

Slackware 13.0 ships with KDE 4.2.4

"Slackware is the veteran of Linux distributions. Slackware is well known for its very high standards for quality. You may expect not always the most recent bells and wistles but a rock solid Linux instead. The heart of Slackware is its founder Patrick Volkerding. Slackware is the most "UNIX-like" distribution and less market driven.

Slackware is mainly supported via mailing lists and news groups."

openSUSE 11.1 Ships with KDE 4.1.3 / 3.5.10

T2 System Development Environment

Turbo Linux 11 ships with KDE 3.4.2
